I3 Capacity Building Workshop:
Successful Grant Writing
Thursday, June 29, 2023
Gulf Coast Community Foundation's Sarasota Philanthropy Center
1549 State Street, Sarasota 34236
The term “grant writer” is somewhat of a misnomer. Writing grants is just one step in a broader process of program or organizational planning. Securing grants takes skill in research, planning, collaboration, program design, budgeting, writing, editing, and public relations. Facilitated by I3 Consultant Whitney Crettol, MA, this workshop will help participants:
- Develop an understanding of the pre-work that leads to solid proposals
- Become familiar with the process and core elements of a grant application
- Learn what is most important to funders
- Obtain practical tips for proposal writing - the DOs and DON'Ts
